Rental calculators
Two questions worth answering before you book. Both run on the real published rates of a real listing — and both show their working, so you can check the arithmetic instead of taking our word for it.
- Rent for a week or pay by the day?Break-even durationWhere the day rate stops being the cheapest way to rent something, and where the week rate does.
- Is this a rental or a purchase?Rent vs buyHow many 28-day cycles of renting it takes to equal buying the same machine, carrying it, and selling it on.
How these work
- No AI in the answer. These are arithmetic, and the rental price comes from the same pricing endpoint the booking panel uses. A model would cost you latency and give you a number it could not show the workings for.
- Rental prices are estimates. The operator’s own rate terms set the final invoice, and where our own pricing service flags a figure as an estimate, these pages say so in the same words.
- Your assumptions are yours. What it costs you to keep a machine, and what you could sell it for, are figures we have no data for. They are inputs, marked as inputs.
